The cooperation and support of all the community organizations whole-heartedly committed to providing
nutritious breakfasts to children in their communities are essential to achieving our mission. The people

of giving every child a better start.
THANKS GO TO OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS
The cooperation and support of all the community organizations whole-heartedly committed to providing nutritious breakfasts to children in their communities are essential to achieving our mission. The people involved
play a key role in the positive outcome of every breakfast program and in reaching our common goal of giving
every child a better start.
This is why the Club is proud to be able to count on a vast network of partners:
• 18 regional and provincial organizations, through which we can access existing school food program
networks, ensuring the distribution of resources to the schools;
• 29 local community organizations, helping to build new school food support networks by pooling
procurement, logistics and program operations in schools;
• 49 school authorities, which enable us to centralize our assistance while distributing resources and
support to the schools in their network in accordance with their evolving needs.
“The Calgary Food Bank is proud to be associated with
Breakfast Club of Canada. Through this partnership,
we’re able to work with Calgary schools to offer
breakfast to all children. By making nutritious food
available to all students, we’re helping to reduce the
stigma attached to food insecurity. Together, we’re
extending our reach and building a more inclusive food
support system for Calgary students.”

“Most people know the saying ‘It takes a village to
raise a child.’ I’d add that it takes a whole village
of boldly compassionate people. The SALSA project
embodies this boldness, this compassion, in addition
to distributing every morning to a whole host of
children not just a local breakfast (which is already a
lot), but also the hope that a more just, united and
green world filled with kindness awaits them. Thank
you, SALSA project!”

“The students have learned valuable skills through this breakfast program, from finding appropriate recipes and learning
about food preparation and food safety, to cooking food. This program has also provided opportunities for important
discussions about nutrition.”
