HIGHLIGHTS
BREAKFAST CLUB OF CANADA
Thirty Years of Making
a Difference
1994: ONE SCHOOL, ONE MISSION
“The first mornings, weeks and months at Lionel-Groulx school are still among the most defining
moments in the Club’s history, as they provided us with undeniable proof of the multiple effects of
the breakfast program. I remember the children’s excitement and energy, and how simply calling
them by their first name as we served them breakfast made all the difference to their morning. The
commitment shown by the school team, the parent volunteers, the community members, the generous
donors... Wow! It was a true privilege to experience those first moments in slow motion, in 3D, in colour,
one breakfast at a time.”

2000s: GROWING
PARTNERSHIPS
2006
The first program outside Quebec is launched
through Breakfast Clubs of Canada.
2007
The Club sets up its first program in an Indigenous
community in Schefferville, Quebec, launching its
commitment to Canada’s Indigenous populations.
“In 1999, a colleague told me about the Club. I got
involved right away. A few years later, Danone was
donating over a million tubs of yogurt a year, and
has continued to do so ever since.”

2010s: REACHING MORE CHILDREN
“We’re proud of our ten-year partnership with
Breakfast Club of Canada, which allows thousands
of children across Canada to start their day off
with eggs, a food rich in nutrients.”
2010
The Club introduces its 1,000th program,
thanks to the work of many volunteers,
