BREAKFAST CLUB OF CANADA
LEADERSHIP
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
AND CEO
MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR
OF THE BOARD
Sometimes, all it takes is a simple breakfast to open
up a world of possibilities. This year, we pursued our
work with the firm belief that to nourish a child is to
nourish the future. In a context of growing food
insecurity, the role of Breakfast Club of Canada is
more essential than ever.
Over the past year, Breakfast Club of Canada has
demonstrated creativity and conviction in advancing
its mission: to give every child the energy they need to
reach their full potential. Through a unified
communications platform under the theme “We
Believe in Breakfast,” we successfully engaged our
communities and reinforced how a simple breakfast
can transform a day, a year and, ultimately, a life path.
Our ongoing determination to support school food
programs across the country has contributed to major
advances, including the signing of bilateral agreements
under the National School Food Program. Today, we
are proud to support the program’s implementation
nationwide, sharing our expertise to maximize its
impact on children.
This past year, our work on the ground was also
marked by meaningful milestones, with every
experience reminding us that at the heart of our work
are children who deserve an equal chance to succeed.
Whether by optimizing our menus or setting up
sustainable food programs, we furthered our efforts to
create a solid safety net woven with care and
commitment, so that no child is overlooked.
I would like to extend my warmest gratitude to our
teams, volunteers, donors and partners, who make
our mission possible.
To consolidate its role as a leader in school nutrition,
the Club set up a service entirely dedicated to this
essential dimension of its mission. According to a
survey of 932 schools, nutrition resources are among
the most valued forms of support. What’s more, 97% of
schools report that their breakfast program has a
positive influence on students’ eating habits. Because,
in addition to nourishing the body, these programs
help to establish healthy, sustainable eating habits.
Over the course of the year, the Board of Directors
witnessed the exceptional commitment, diligence and
flexibility of the Club’s teams. During a visit to our head
office in Boucherville, I had the pleasure of meeting
some of these devoted team members, and it was a
wonderful opportunity to see the energy and
dedication that drive our organization on a daily basis.
Together, let’s continue to build a future where every
child can start their day with a full stomach and a light
heart, ready to learn, thrive and dream.
Rooted in three decades of commitment, Breakfast
Club of Canada continues to grow, supported by the
trust of its partners, the generosity of its donors and
the dedication and passion of its teams.
